What Is Clitoral & Vaginal PRP?

Clitoral & Vaginal PRP is a treatment in which concentrated growth factors derived from your own blood are injected into specific areas of the vulvovaginal anatomy associated with sexual response and tissue health. These growth factors may stimulate tissue repair, improve blood flow, support nerve responsiveness, and promote the development of new, healthier tissue in the treated areas over time.
Because the treatment uses your own blood, it is entirely autologous, non-hormonal, and medication-free.

At Arvé Aesthetics, Clitoral & Vaginal PRP is paired with a VCare carboxytherapy treatment to enhance and extend results. VCare uses medical-grade CO₂ carboxytherapy to stimulate oxygenated blood flow, collagen production, and hydration in the vulvovaginal tissue, complementing the regenerative effects of PRP and supporting the tissue environment before and after injection.

How It Works

A small blood sample is drawn from your arm, similar to a routine lab draw. The blood is processed in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich plasma. Once the PRP is prepared, topical numbing is applied to the treatment area. A local anesthetic block is also administered to ensure comfort throughout the injection process.

PRP is then injected into two primary anatomical targets:

• The clitoral glans and surrounding tissue: to support sensitivity, nerve responsiveness, and arousal in the clitoral complex, much of which lies beneath the surface
• The anterior vaginal wall: to support vaginal sensitivity, lubrication, and tissue quality in this highly innervated region associated with sexual response

Clitoral & Vaginal PRP is paired with VCare carboxytherapy to enhance and extend results. VCare uses medical-grade CO₂ carboxytherapy to stimulate oxygenated blood flow, collagen production, and hydration in the vulvovaginal tissue, complementing the regenerative effects of PRP and supporting the tissue environment during the healing process. Following your in-office treatment, patients use VCare at home as part of their post-treatment protocol, typically applied before bed and worn overnight to support continued tissue oxygenation, circulation, and healing while you sleep.

What to Expect

Consultation

A consultation with one of our providers is required before treatment. Your provider will discuss your symptoms, medical history, and goals, confirm candidacy, and set clear and realistic expectations for what the treatment may and may not achieve. Sexual health concerns deserve honest, evidence-informed guidance, and our team approaches every consultation without judgment.

The Procedure

Treatment is performed in a private, closed-door room. Topical numbing is applied to the treatment area, followed by a local anesthetic block to ensure comfort throughout. Once the area is appropriately numbed, the prepared PRP is injected using a fine needle into the clitoral tissue and the anterior vaginal wall. The VCare carboxytherapy treatment is administered as part of the appointment to support tissue response and enhance results.

Duration

Most appointments take approximately 60 minutes from blood draw to completion.

Results

Some patients notice initial changes in sensitivity within the first few days as the injected fluid creates localized effects. New tissue development and the regenerative benefits of PRP typically begin to emerge over the following 3 to 9 weeks, with peak results at approximately 3 months. Results may last 12 to 18 months or longer depending on individual response. Some patients choose to repeat the treatment annually to maintain results.

Who Is Not a Good Candidate?

Clitoral & Vaginal PRP is not appropriate for everyone. Treatment is not recommended for patients who:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Have an active infection in or around the treatment area
• Have a bleeding disorder or are taking blood thinning medications without medical clearance
• Have a known platelet disorder or condition affecting PRP quality
• Have a medical condition that significantly impairs wound healing

Aftercare

Following treatment, mild swelling, tenderness, or temporary sensitivity in the treated area is normal and typically resolves within a few days. To support healing and allow the PRP to take effect:

• Avoid Sexual Activity: refrain from intercourse and tampon use for at least 48 hours following treatment
• Avoid Strenuous Activity: limit vigorous physical activity for the first 24 hours
• Do Not Apply Pressure: avoid tight clothing or anything that applies sustained pressure to the treated area during the initial healing period
• Monitor the Area: contact our team if you experience significant pain, unusual swelling, or unexpected symptoms
• Follow Provider Instructions: adhere to all post-treatment guidance provided at your appointment
